This is Austria

Another Hetalia sketch, because I don't really feel represented by Roderich - he's waaay to serious and aristocratic and obsessed with classical music, which present day Austrians mostly are not.

So, here are some things Austrians really obsess about:

1) Skiing. Our national and most beloved sport, and the one we're really good at (*winces at thought of Austrian football teams*)

2) Hiking, or just mountains in general, they define us. Even our national anthem starts with "Country of mountains~"

3) Neutrality. We're a neutral country, so many international organisation have their HQ in Vienna. It's very important to us but who knows how much longer we can keep it in the EU...? ;_;

4) Smoking. More than 30% of Austrians are smokers and we have the most half-assed no-smoking regulations in all of Europe T___T

5) Complaining XDD Austrians, and especially the Viennese, love to complain about everything. Oh, and to drink beer.

6) Austrian German. It's quite different from German and Swiss German, and we're very proud of it. More info & word list: => [link]

7) The sea. Austrians long for access to the sea, and every summer there are huge traffic jams when everybody's trying to get to southern Europe.

And what I forgot:

8) Titles, academic or not. Your average Austrian is very unhappy beíng a simple "Mr." or "Mrs." Something, you have to be at least "Ao. Doz. Prof. Dr. Dr. Mag." Something XD
