...because I can't believe those over-dramatic music clips they have poor Darren do lately are *not* meant ironically!

They can't be meant to be taken seriously, I'm sure RIB are trying to tell us that dapper, polite, put-together Blainers can actually be quite the melodrama queen when he's upset - but only inside his own head, and only we, the viewers, know about it because we get to see his "mind movies".

So I choose to find those music videos endearing (and a bit sad since they mean Blaine is still keeping up such a facade) rather than laugh about how cringe-worthy they are

Also, I adore the Mike/Blaine friendship and think it's tragic that apart from Kurt, he'll be losing Mike next year, too = (

And sorry about the racial stereotype of Asians reading manga, but I really wanted to draw Tike <3

this is too cute :°°°°°°°°°°D and also I figure Tina, Artie and Sam the only that canonically read manga...and Mike becoming slowly addicted to comics too because Tina lends them to him

but I can totally see Mike lending them to Blaine because they are such good friends 8DDD Also I love how Blaine looks still a little uncomfortable not mentioning Naruto

Yes, that's how I imagine it, too: Tina infects Mike, and Mike tries to pass the virus on to Blaine (I know he isn't as much of a geek as Darren IRL, but I can totally see Blaine getting into old-school shoujo manga like "Rose of Versailles" or "Glass Mask" - you know, the super dramatic ones! XDDD

God, that's so perfect for Blaine °_____° he would be either interested in those '70 shojo manga and at the same time some of the funny, snarky new shojo...and some quality shonen manga too. And also while we are on the topic he would totally love Hikaru no Go xD
and then Kurt would be interested in like, Paradise Kiss and cry oceans of tears over Nana...also my headcanon that Kurt based his "Blame it on the alcohol" outfit [link] on some of Clamp's Tokyo Babylon's outfits [link]

Isn't it just??

I can totally imagine him sitting there engrossed in 70s shojo manga, briting a handkerchief in frustration just like the heroines, and Kurt next to him rolling his eyse

As I've never been such a big reader of shoujo manga (though I loved Fushigi Yuugi, and still adore Nodame Cantabile and Koukou Debut... oh and Ouran HS Hostclub, of course), I don't know any of the new ones that would fit Blaine... no, wait, maybe "Skip Beat"?

Oh and Kurt + ParaKisu and Ai Yazawa manga in general is perfect!! As for the outfit and refernces, oh I can totally imagine that the Glee costumes department takes a lot of inspiration if not directly manga, then at least definitely Asian fashion magazines or websites!!

Well I'm not great on shoujo manga too, but I was thinking about those slightly trashy/funny manga like Gals! since he and Kurt are fans of bad reality shows like Jersey Shore xD He and Tina would probably love Host Club too *v*

Yeah there was totally a j-rock vibe from Season 2 Kurt sometimes, without mentioning Tina's gothic-classic lolita phase
