Description
I haven't cosplayed for a couple of years and never thought I'd ever again - especially not at this year's Aninite, since I was a member the organizing team and freakishly busy the whole time before the convention @_@
But then all my friends sewing their costumes made me long for cosplaying again after all, and literally 3 days before the con I decided to do a Weeping Angel cosplay, because it seemed like an easy one to make.
And it really wasn't difficult at all: the wings are cardboard (should have made some feathers but there wasn't time) and the same fabric as the tunic, which was also very simple apart from the upper neck part (luckily, mum helped with that °_°)
The only troublesome thing was making the wings stick to my back - yay for safety pins! - and as they were quite heavy, they gave me a nasty backache after a while.
The body paint was ok, but a pain to wash off again.
Unexpectedly, there was a Doctor cosplayer at the convention (hardly anyone else recognized the costume as DW isn't very well known in Austria) and I could persuade some poor soul to put on my gas mask (bought on eBay. Alas, Austrian and not British, but authentic from WWII! *o*) so we could take that picture.
Cosplaying is fun, after all.
